Creating surface sets

The first step in the Surface Sets workflow is to create a new, empty surface set. Use the Create Surface Set form (prepare > Surfaces > Create Surface Set) to do this. The new surface set will appear in the JewelExplorer inside the Surface Sets main folder.

To create a surface set

1. In the Surface set drop-down list, make sure Create new is selected.
2. Enter a name for the surface set in the field below.
3. Click OK to create the surface set and proceed to the Assign Data step.

Editing an existing model

If you want to edit an existing surface set, select it on the Create Surface Set form instead. Click OK to go to the Assign Data form where you can then edit it.
